The Nuvola Academy iPhone app puts your training in your pocket: take courses, check your hours and download certificates, and ask the Nuvola Assistant questions.
Getting started
- Download Nuvola Academy from the App Store (iPhone, iOS 17.6 or later).
- Open the app and pick your Portal:
- Classen Buck — Texas law enforcement continuing education
- Classen Buck 2 — private security and locksmith continuing education
- Sign in with the same email and password you use on the website. There is no separate app account.
Forgot your password? Reset it on the website (see How to reset my password), then sign in to the app with the new one.
Finding your way around
The app has four tabs along the bottom:
- Home — the course you're working on and your progress, with a Continue button.
- Catalog — search and browse courses. Tap a course to see its hours and details, and to start it.
- Records — your transcript and certificates. Pull down or tap refresh to load the latest.
- AI Chat — ask the Nuvola Assistant about courses, your hours, TCOLE rules or your account.
Taking a course
- Tap Continue on Home, or open a course from the Catalog and start it.
- The first time you open a course, a short welcome message plays. The course starts when it ends, or tap Begin course to skip ahead. It plays only once per course.
- Narration plays automatically. Use your phone's volume buttons or the mute control in the course if you'd rather read.
- Tap Done at the top to go back to the app. Your progress saves as you go, so you can pick up where you left off on the app or the website.
Certificates
When you finish a course, the certificate shows up under Records → Certificates. Tap one to view it. Your completions are reported the same way as when you train on the website.
Signing out
Tap the account icon at the top of the Home screen and choose Sign Out.
